Quick Scripts

Introduction

Quick Scripts were designed to assist you in placing and closing orders in a more automated way. By offering the source code, we allow you to hard code your preferred settings and more importantly create copies of the scripts for various currency pairs. Remember: You have the ability to set a hotkey shortcut to any scripts (enabling you to, for example, press Ctrl+B on your keyboard, activating a buy script). To set a hotkey, right click on a script in the Navigator window and click on 'Set Hotkey'. Setting hotkeys can help speed up the process of executing scripts. the process.

The Quick Scripts code was written with you, the user, in mind, making it simpler to adjust desired settings. To do so, right click on the script in the Navigator window and select modify. Then, in the MetaEditor window, change the default inputs and click on the "Compile" button.

*Note: If you make changes to the included file, make sure to recompile all your scripts.

We now offer 9 open source scripts to our clients:

1. IBFX–Quick Buy, Place a buy order with previously compiled settings.
2. IBFX–Quick Buy - Inputs, Same as above but this time you will be prompted to select new inputs.
3. IBFX–Quick Sell, Place a Sell order with previously compiled settings.
4. IBFX–Quick Sell - Inputs, Same as above but this time you will be prompted to select new inputs.
5. IBFX–Quick Close Reverse, will close existing orders that match both the symbol and magic number, then open the opposite position(s) with the same settings.
6. IBFX–Quick Close, will close all orders matching the script's symbol and magic number.
7. IBFX–Close All Orders, will close ALL orders (Use discretion: it will close everything)
8. IBFX–Close All orders by MagicNumber, will close orders matching the MagicNumber that was entered.
9. IBFX–Close All Orders by Symbol, will close orders matching the symbol the script was applied to.

To use Quick Scripts, simply drag and drop the script on the chart, appearing in the drop down menu in the navigator.

Download and Installation Process

Step 1: Download the setup file and double click on it. Follow on screen instructions.

Step 2: Select the tools you would like to install, click next. (Make sure to select your MT4 installation folder).

*This setup will not overwrite any previous version of the tools that was already open source*

*If you want the latest version of the open source tools, make sure to rename or delete them*
