Peg Reed
Managing Director, Global Partnerships
Peg Reed joined Interbank FX in April of 2009 after 30 years on Wall Street working with a number of world class financial organizations. With a successful track record of creating, building and managing profitable enterprise, Ms. Reed is responsible for building and maintaining our partner relations worldwide.
Ms. Reed spent the early part of her career with the Bank of America, Barclays Bank and The American International Group where as a currency trader she made significant contributions to the firm's profitability. Later, she assumed responsibility for managing large portfolios of risk as well as overseeing the accounts of large multinational corporations, hedge funds and high net worth individuals.
In 1999 Ms. Reed with a group of peers from the FX marketplace launched Hotspot FXi. Hotspot FXi was created as an ECN to be utilized by the Wholesale Foreign Exchange community. Ms. Reed was involved in a number of the key strategic aspects in creating this entity, such as, Risk, Marketing to the Institutional Marketplace, and the technology required to meet the demands of the user community. Ms. Reed created the prime brokerage model that Hotspot FX utilized so customers could trade on the platform in the name of their prime broker. This strategy created multiple partnerships which still exist today.
Following Hotspot FX Ms. Reed joined Lava Trading as Head of Sales working closely with all groups at Lava Trading to ensure customer focused solutions so clients would participate on Lava's ECN product. Ms. Reed's experience ranges in FX from voice dealing to establishing electronic solutions for the marketplace and looks forward at Interbank FX to expand globally the private label business.
